Honestly great game, I feel like it could do well with a little bit more balancing, like 60% of my runs died to bad mine RNG. I think if you lowered the number of mines maybe down from like 16 to maybe like 13 or 12.

Is it a bug that I keep my brooms every run?

Yes, that was one of the bugs I fixed for the v1.1 version, this was a GMTK 2025 entry and they ask that you leave the original submission up which is why the version with bugs is still available for download.

Pretty neat game! I've sunk a few hours into it and have a few thoughts:

Would love a feature where first click safety (making sure the first click is a zero tile) is added, and then modifiers are set (ie marking, modifiers, and the like). This would make the initial click a bit more fair as you wouldn't be stuck with a numbered tile, and randomization would be a bit easier.

Would love to sink more hours on this (and would even pay for it here or on Steam) as a full experience.

Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate the feedback as well, making the game fairer is the main feedback people have been giving so it's clear that's a very important thing to improve on. The reception of Swope has been really supportive so I'm going to keep working on it and hopefully even release the finished game on steam.

I love it. The only problem is that it can get frustratingly hard, even on easy difficulty. Nice game though! :)

Nice game, I think this have potential. It was a unique experience, and lots of fun. I think, if you want to enhance this game, you should focus on making the minesweeper part of the game more fair. It is hard to make this, but it is possible. There was ton of situations that I needed to take a guess and be lucky to not hit a mine. I also think the upgrades are hard to understand, and those that cost 20 bucks were impossible for me to get. But very nice game, well done!

this is an example of situation that I depend on luck, I think it would be cool to have a usable item to help me on those situations

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Consumable items is definitely a mechanic I want to explore, I think it has a lot of potential.

I remember minesweeper as one of the first games I've played on the windows 7.

One thing I'd add is a quick reset button. It can feel a little downright unfair just immediately setting off a landmine and not being able to just run it back.

The music and design are amazing though!

I think that the main concept of the game is really cool, but that it might be a bit too complex for a game jam ^^'.
A cool adition would be to be able to hover over the specific tiles in a game to see what their use is, so that you can learn the mechanics more easily (because most people don't really like forced tutorials 😅)

Thanks for playing the game, I appreciate the feedback. I would have liked to make a more involved tutorial but I just didn't have time for more than a simple text tutorial.
