Description:
Delve deep into an infinitely looping mine in Swope a minesweeper roguelike! Buy fun upgrades, cool brooms, powerful tiles see how high you can get your score! Over 100 possible tiles, 10 unique brooms and over 20 upgrade and level-up options.
How does this fit the theme?
The safe answer is it's a roguelike game where the gameplay keeps looping. The meta answer is that inspiration is like a loop: people make things that inspire people to make things that inspire people to make things...
One of the main reasons I got back into gamedev after 6 years was because Balatro is one of my favourite games and I was inspired by a youtube video about the story of Balatro's creation; this game is my love letter to Balatro, made in the same engine, Love2D. Maybe one day I will inspire someone the same way the amazing people in the gamedev community have inspired me, I really enjoyed making this game so I hope you enjoy playing it :)
Credits:
Peritune - the 2 royalty free tracks (dual illusions and black crystal)
FrostC - made some minesweeper tiles and put them on open game art, all the other art is based off these original 11 tiles
Me - everything else was made by me in the 4 day period
Version 1.0 is the original gamejam submission, v1.1 is a simple bugfix - the main difference is music was broken in the v1.0 web version unfortunately.

I think that the main concept of the game is really cool, but that it might be a bit too complex for a game jam ^^'.
A cool adition would be to be able to hover over the specific tiles in a game to see what their use is, so that you can learn the mechanics more easily (because most people don't really like forced tutorials 😅)
Thanks for playing the game, I appreciate the feedback. I would have liked to make a more involved tutorial but I just didn't have time for more than a simple text tutorial.
